How to make an advirtisment

Youtube is full of stuff. I have chosen to show a video that advirtises Cloud solution from Oracle.

This video shows allergories to construction to show how a cloud works. First it shows a public cloud were the islands are connected with bridges. Everyone understand islands and bridges. Bridges are “connectors” between islands and clearly shows how the softwares connect to each other if your buisness needs it. This is a really simple way of showing a connection.

Later on they show how you can have a private cloud. That consists of a private building, also this people can understand easily. By making allergories Oracle tries to explain something complicated easily. But for me, I only have a lot of question. I would like to see the SAD documents and review what type of coding and testing has been done. What type of requirements they have fullfilled. I would like to know what type of safety there really is behind all this. But the customer is problably the CEO´s and not me.

I know that clouds are not as safe as something were you are not connected to the Internet. I think you should allways think that everything online is public, no matter how private you might think it is. A safety is never safer than the passwords and it´s users. Location is allways a risk too. Accessability to locations is also a risk.

Well, see the video yourself and you will understand how the marketeers have shown something complex easily and understandable. But yet lacking the information I would really want.

Haha. Skrattar när jag hittar reklamfilm som handlar om att föra statistik fullständigt på företagets/organisationens HR-kapital. Genom att använda Oracles programvara ska du i princip få koll på när det finns risk att folk slutar osv. Systemet för helt enkelt statistik på de anställdas performance inom HR-frågor. Det finns sedan sk “flaggor” som varnar när statistiken rör sig åt sk “röda områden”, som ex när en anställd inte haft semester.
Visst kan det vara bekvämt att ha koll, men när man väl tar beslutet att lämna ett företag tycker jag att allt utom ens lön ska raderas ur systemet. Okej, kanske inte koden man gjort och dokumenten man tillverkat, men allt om dig. Allt om din performance osv ska såklart raderas. Jag tycker inte företag ska ha mer i systemet än nödvändigt. Men tyvärr har många företag säkert mer om oss i sina system än vi själva ens vill tänka på. Vissa företag begriper att saker inte ska leva för evigt, andra behåller saker säkert i väldigt lång tid framöver.

Ja, du kan väl se deras reklam för HR-systemet själv, men istället för att tänka på fördelarna, tänk på nackdelarna och riskerna med att veta allt.

Development growing to the speed of thought

Now you are going to have databases that deliver information at the speed of thought. At least that is what Oracle says in this promotion video. Wheater or not it´s true must be proven to me. I haven´t seen it in action with real user so I really couldn´t say.

However the concept of “speed of thought” information. Imagine having all the information available on citizens at “speed of thought”. Imagine what control you could do on people with that. Imagine having adpated to the customers needs at the speed of thought. Possible, if Oracle has what they claim they have in the world of Clouds.
