In todays Expressen.se they are chasing the Cookie monster in a hostage situation. A man has stolen a cookie companies logo outside their head office. On a post card with a person dressed as a cookie monster (immitating a version of the cookie monster from the Muppets) fake eating the logo plate. The demand, according to Expressen, was that the cookie company donated cookies to children’s hospitals and some money to one animal shelter.
The company has now said, on their Facebook page, that they will donate 52000 cookies to charity.
I am not saying people should take hostages to get companies to donate to charity. I think there are other ways to get them to donate. But I am not saying it wasn’t innovative. But I would rather chosen to demonstrate as a cookie monster outside the company and asking them to donate. Really outside any company. Why not stadge poverty a la slum outside all companies that use slave workers in Asia? Just an idea. Ask for permission from the police first. Do it legally. Then when you get permit. Visualize the problems. Make the companies higher the worker salaries so they can surive on their salary from a 40 hour week.
