I decided I was so pissed off with the work experience by conventional methods CV. It is so boring and so lame and I think overall that recruiters cannot read CV’s and they are mostly focused on titles and companies instead of seeing what type of work the person really can do. I simply removed all the years, employments and put down the work tasks I have done and instead of repeating each work task for each employment that is similar I have grouped them and named the tasks once.
I am pretty sure recruiters will hate my CV, but then they are just narrow-minded. I think they need to think wider. I think the traditional CV’s do not say anything about me. My CV says what I am capable of instead of focusing on the past. I have written down my competences and many things I have done over the years. No references, just simply what I have done really. I have done a lot.
I am bold by doing this, but it seems a traditional CV doesn’t lead to any jobs anyway, so why bother? So I changed it. My CV now better fits me and my personality. I am not my earlier jobs. I am all in one. All those competences are inside me. They shape me. The companies haven’t shaped me. They are in fact pretty uninteresting. Some companies I do not even want to know about anymore. I am just thankful to be out of there. So why do I have to have a chain to my wrist to the companies?
Why cannot more people join in and skip the traditional resumés?
