Imagine the trust we put in prepared food industry

Imagine how much we trust the food industry in giving us the stuff we bought. However in the newspapers the past weeks it has been scandal after scandal with meat fraud. I could have understood if it wasn’t meat that had replaced the meat, but now it was meat being replaced with meat. Is it so much cheaper with horse meat than with cow? Then I am wondering how come horse meat isn’t advertised as “cheap” meat. Of course it cannot be so much cheaper? Well. I think there is nothing wrong with horse meat. I think it is a wonder they haven’t fooled the customer on meat, just the sort of meat we eat. Some have tried to fool us by placing water in the meat so the weight is more. But replacing meat with meat…. that is somehow more difficult to know. The modern person has forgotten how meat is identified. I am guessing this wouldn’t have been a possible fraud in those days when we knew what meat looked like.

Well, many food manufacturers have been involved in the horse meat scandal. Nestlé, a big manufacturer was targeted, now today IKEA meatballs have been subject for the fraud, according to DN.se. And in Aftonbladet.se Dafgård says they have been fooled. (Producer of IKEA meatballs). Dafgård thinks the meat might have been contaminated since the slaughter of cow and horse is in the same facility. The article also says they might have done it as fraud, since horse meat is cheaper. This clearly shows there is no consideration for health, nor customers morals on the manufacturer part, the meat part of it anyway.

It seems like all the big producers have been fooled. So what drives the meat scandal? Money. Money. Money. The root of the problem is money. People are trying to get as much of your money as possible. They want as much profit as possible. Greed. That is the proper name for the meat scandal.

It is a waste of all horses if the meat is just thrown away. However it seems like some meat contains dangerous medicines for horses. Humans shouldn’t get horse meat with horse medicine inside. That is dangerous. All this scandal is just a waste of food. Of money. Waste of the environment. Everything is just a scandal so to speak.

Who is responsible? Who are they? Who thought greed was the right way to act? I do not think only one person is behind this. It must be MANY people. Who will pay? Who?

In the end it is you, the customer, that pays. I hope that in this case they will lose their licenses to practise within the meat industry.

Bank customers are scammed

Bank customers are scammed on their money. In todays Aftonbladet.se we can read about a man who was scammed on all his money n the bank account – 15 000 SEK. He was in the store buying food and the transaction did not go through. Then he checked his bank account and realized all the money was gone, according to the article. He made a complaint at the Police and reported it all to the bank. But he didn´t get his money back. The bank said the transaction was valid, even though it was from a different IP number and went to a known criminals account. The bank refused to pay him back.

I am wondering how the criminal could use his account? Did he access his house? Have a copy of his mobile phone? Or what? The IP number was different, that´s in the article. But still, how did he even get the correct codes? Strange.

The Swedish authoroty ARN can´t help the customers. If they are scammed with bank codes… they are lost and the money is gone!

Well, this shows the banks are not good enough. Need other systems. Or maybe should I say, the computers are not safe… and Internet is not safe. The problem is “tell all” functions built in the systems. Wireless is also shit. Don´t use it.

A girls ride in a Taxi ended up beeing a nightmare

In todays Alltomstockholm.se a girl writes about her experiences taking a Taxi Stockholm taxi in the middle of the night with her girlfriend. First dropping off her. When she then makes a phone call the taxi driver gets mad and starts telling her that noone can talk on the phone while he is driving his taxi. She askes him what he said and he says that she cannot talk on the phone. She writes that she was thinking that she shouldn´t talk, so he didn´t get even more upset. The taxi driver calles her a blonde whore that thinks she can do anything. After she has stopped and payed the bill and is outside her door she askes him what gives him the right to call her a whore. He screams yet again that she is a whore and she should get away from the car.

I am just saying. What kind of people are there? What kind of hate did that men had against blonde females? Had he been rejected by a blonde female once? Or was he some kind of blonde hater or what? Something was clearly wrong and maybe beeing a taxi driver wasn´t really what he wanted to do. I guess he isn´t a taxi driver anymore… but then the article doesn´t say if she contacted taxi Stockholm and said what happend and helped them to identify the driver…

I wish she did contact them, I do not want to meet him if I need a taxi… just saying…

Facebook is used for scams by Cybercriminals

Facebook logo

Facebook logo (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

The Cybercriminals are getting more and more innovative. What if those people inventing cybercrime would use their skills on something real instead. With those skills they could get a real job without stealing from others. They could start real companies instead and do something good for mankind instead of making life worse for others.

In todays Expressen.se we can read about cybercriminals luring bank customers of their bank codes by posing as a friend needing to “borrow” their friends code generator. I guess people don´t understand that another persons code generator doesn´t work on their account. It shouldn´t work since it should be configurated, however I don´t know if all banks have that smart technology. If they don´t then they should. But in todays Expressen they have written that it is the code generator the friends wants to borrow through posing as a friend online on the chat on Facebook.

So don´t fall for it. And do not open emails from strangers. Do not open emails from “supposted” accounts you are “supposted” to have even though you know you haven´t registered for any. This is one way they try to lure you for personal stuff.

Well, it´s sad that people have to find out the hard way not to give to personal stuff on the Internet. But unfortunately many realize Internet is dangerous far to late. Internet is dangerous. That is a fact. Use it wisely.

Nordea bank clerk hung up phone on bestolen customer

In todays DN.se we read about a women who was bestolen on hear salery, the first day of her vacation. Instead of beeing helpful the clerk at the bank said they had 500 similair cases and hung up the phone.

I have also encountered costumer lines where the person on the other end doesn´t listen, or understand and than hangs up because they do not how to handle the case. It´s very unfortunate. I have worked with support to customers and I haven´t hung up if the call has not been abusive. Calls seldome are.

I however think it happens sometimes when I am the customer. They do not seem to understand. It´s very annoying, beacuse sometime you can been in a phone que for a long period of time. And then when the person on the other end hangs up the phone it´s very frustrating, adding on to the stress of having to call in the first place.

All customer support employees should be patient, otherwise you are at the wrong place at the wrong time. You should say nicely that you are going to do the best you can. You can never do more than your best.

Well, anyway if you loose all your money, I understand that people want to have help. It´s very stressful when you have been bestolen. So I think Nordea should appologize to the customer.

Groupon full of bullshit?

In todays Dn.se we can read about a customer that did not get the deal it thought it had bougt. In this case a hair cut with high lights /colouring. The girl payed 398SEK, according to Dn.se. When she they tried to use the coupon the hairdresser said it was not valid. Then the customer contacted Groupon and said so, Groupon said it was valid. The customer called back to the hairdresser. This time the hairdresser told the customer that Groupon didn´t pay them any money and that they couldn´t accept the coupon therfor. Now the customer is in the middle of the Groupon company and the hairdresser. They say different things. Reality is a fact. The customer has not yet got an haircut with highlights / colouring even though she has payed for one.

The article also says that the company has also given gift certificates on lamps on 599SEK and when the customers have gone to the store, the original price was 399SEK. They had payed MORE for the deal.

Doesn´t Groupon pay their companies with deals? Is Groupon fooling companies from money? And in the end the customers? What is going on? Is Groupon just a scam and the jokes on us?

A man suddenly had 6 billion SEK in his account

I wonder how many of us would react if we saw 6 billion SEK on our accounts one day. I probably would think it would be a mistake and call the bank and ask them why I had all that money. However this incident did happen to a Swedish guy. For 2 hours he had 6 billion in his account. The most scary thing is that the bank could not account for what had gone wrong…

He then says that the best thing is to have no money in the account. I agree. The security is overall pretty bad in banks and all the technology we are using. To little time, to many shortcuts during development. And also how the crews are chosen is a problem in most IT areas.
