Review – Star trek – Into the darkness

I have seen Into the darkness. It was rather long, more than two hours. I almost fell asleep in a period in the middle of the film. It was more an action than a Star trek really. I think the essence of star trek was somewhat lost in all the action and sci-fi-effects.

I am a Trekkie, I have been following star trek since the next generation in the late 80′s. So of course I have expectations. I like star trek since it is so less bloody but still has drama and action in another, more intellectual sence.

Well. I wish that we could have known more about the story behind Kahn, the bad guy so to speak. We are not given enough story room behind him and his crew and why they had their fate. I wish I did, since this is the problem with the movie and this is what also makes it lose some Star trek quality. In Star trek I usually get a story behind things and what I think is “normal” is placed under investigation. I think this is what is missing. If they just had added that and removed parts of the action I would have given the movie more stars than I will.

There was some mistaken identity issues and it feels really strange that it is so easy to lure yourself onboard a ship with another identity, like the science officer does. It is not believable. And even less flying away with a non identified science officer. I would like to think that in todays matrix society it wouldn’t be possible so far away in the future. Those small things make me annoyed as a Trekkie fan.

The space ship, design and so on is beautiful. The 3D effect wasn’t so much 3D, so it could have been left out totally. The actors and actresses are very much “star trek” quality and play the part as they should.

There are some “bi-stories” on the side of the real story and I would want to know more about those. This movie had a change to show us more around the Kahn blood and so on, but yet it doesn’t. What happens to the once that receive the blood? I would want to know. However it seems like the producers have been more interested in giving action scenes in space, not that they aren’t beautifully made in the computer, but…. I like movies to have stories and not leave the audience in the darkness….

But as this movie is, I only give it three stars out of five.

No place for bending regulations at Ryan Air

A women was thrown off the place since she had a book and a paper role to much at a Ryan Air flight, according to aftonbladet.se. She couldn´t pay 50 Euro for the extra fee since her card didn´t work. I am just saying… couldn´t another passanger take them on the flight? According to the article in Aftonbladet.se the air plance hostesses didn´t let the women coorporate with other passangers. I am just saying. There is no humanity. Only money talks. Imagine the police doing a jo like this…throwing of a women due to a rule. I am just saying… what a cruel world. She could have gotten another passanger to take the stuff on board…. not letting the women do even that… is just cruel. At least she could have been allowed to ask the passangers. I understand the fact that it will cost more air fuel the heaverier a place is, but after all, the women could have gotten a invoice if it was that impossible. Throwing her off the plane was so cruel somehow, what happend to humanity?

I have seen new Windows 8 – Jag har sett nya Windows 8

The other day this week I attended a meeting and one of the persons there had a Windows 8 machine. It was a very strange version of Windows. The start button is totally gone! Say by by to the start button. So this made it very difficult for all the presenters at the event… they didn´t know how the Windows 8 machines functioned.

So when reading about the new Windows 8 version in Dn.se today made me smile. I have allready seen the damn thing. It will take some time to get used to it. It “looks the same” but in my eyes it´s very different. Missing buttons. It still takes time for me to find everything in the Office version that came some years ago. Print button and save as where very well hidden. Frustrating for many users I would imagine.

The DN.se article says the test version has been out for a year and that many have been unsatisfied with it.

The Windows 8 looks like a mobile phone the article says. Also the article says that the persons wonder why they should change when Windows 7 works fine?

I am wondering why I allways must change. It´s bad for the environment. I would like to be able to use my PC and new software for my PC for many years to come, without spending to much money or stuff on it. It´s expensive and in bad times I do not have the luxury to upgrade to everything new. I am after all a regular person with a small wallet. So no, I won´t change…

The Swedish leaders politics reflect on the state institutions

They say that the bottom immitates the top. In this case the top in the Swedish democracy is the Alliance (Alliansen) that rules. There politics reflect upon all the state institutions and regulations, as well as the wide majority of the Swedish population. After all they are democratically elected  by a majority of the population.

In the previous weeks the media has written about Tillväxtverket and how they were waisting the Swedish tax payers money on useless parties. Well, the state institution was just doing what the top does – spending tax payer money on glamorous parties. Näringsdepartementet has just done the same thing! They have burned up money on partying with MY MONEY, my hard earned money. I think they should appologize and pay the party from they HIGH saleries themselves. Näringsdepartementet, has according to Aftonbladet.se tried to “darken” the fact that the Christmas party for 616 473 SEK. Money that could have enhanced the school in a bad neighbourhood, or given new school books to a class that has bad condition on their books. The money could also feed the home less in Stockholm for a while. No, instead we party it up. I call it upper class idiocracy. A christmas dinner of good quality costs between 300-500 SEK and that would have been good enough for the Näringsdepartementets christmas party. On top of this they also put the party in the books, according to Aftonbladet.se, as “seminarieverksamhet” (educational activities). Educational in Swedish tradition? In partying? Or what?

Time to unelect the upper class government of Sweden and let the real people rule once again. Dismanteling the welfare of Sweden is not the right way to go about it, but the Alliance surley has. The Alliance has shown bad manners and bad judgement so many times now, why not just have realections?
