Door in place

This weekend the door frame was set up. Yesterday the door came up, my spouse fixed it. The door handle must be changed, so that has not yet come up. Today I put cloth on the frame… so it is easily removable when ever we have time to replace the floor in the hallway. I had some cloth that I would never use in the closet, so now I have a very childess “wall” on each side of the door. Well, the door is there and the walls are up. Now we can close off the living room. But we still need to change some things a little. We cannot still close the door. Then I need lists on each side of the door… and maybe some white paint to. Well… I think I have white paint. The lists I will however have to buy. Perhaps I will do it during the weekend.

Perhaps a christmas tree can finally be put up in the living room after the door handle is in place (need to remove one from a door stored away. I want all door handles to be the same. I wonder what the pets will think when we close the door for the first time. So far they have been able to walk on the side of the door, but they cannot anymore. Since it is a glass door it isnt any darker or doesn’t feel claustrofobic in any way. I am satisfied with the work… but not the cloth really… hm… it is very childess. But our kid will probably love it. Haha. At least someone in the household will. Perhaps I will change the cloth at some point. No promises.

I was in the subway system and one add on the wall caught my attention

I was standing there on the plattform one morning. There isn´t much to do when waiting for the subway train to arrive. Usually I look at the walls. Often the walls contain adds or art. This time the walls contained adds from NK. NK is a collection of stores in a high end galleria in the middle of Stockholm. I however do not go there other than to buy perfume in the basement floor… that is mostly since they have the products I am buying. I don´t have a choice so to speak, well if I don´t wanna buy a gift that is enjoyed then of course I can buy something else…

Well, when I was standing there I looked at the different adds. The concept was to “get a new you”. The images where artistic and I do not believe anyone actually would dress like the concept in the images. However people do buy the pieces that the young women where using. And the focus was on pieces in the adds. One piece in each add was lifted up with headers like “Skirt from Nude” 1000 SEK, or similair. One of the products was a west from a designer label. It cost something between 29 000-30 000SEK. I was thinking who buys a leppard west for more than a average month salery? Hmm…

I don´t know who of the people on the plattform would pay that for a west… I was wondering if a person that does buy something expensive like that really travels with subway? Then would they take the cycle or walk? Hmm.. Would they even work? It´s difficult to have a car if you live in the inner parts of the city. So maybe they do have this public in the subway system…. but then who earns so much money that they can …. waist… that much money on a west? Hmmm. Well in Sweden a average income is like 23000 SEK and that is before taxes. Remove taxes around 31% in Stockholm area from that. So this means that the amount the person would have to pay is for a average income in Sweden about 1,5 month salery. So I am guessing not to many actually can buy it.

So how is this advertisement agency, where the majority cannot afford the item, thinking? I think that it will be “copied” by HM or some other retailer and then the girls and boys can dress the part without having the original high end labels. After all, everyday in Metro (a free “newspaper” available at the subway stations) we can see tips how to dress like celebrities for smaller amounts of money.

It won´t take to much time before the clothes are copied if they now happen to be in fashion or get in fashion.

So even if people won´t buy the clothes featured in the adds in the subway, the adds will effect the public. We will consider it fashion much due to the price… I am guessing. Expensive = celebs favourites perhaps? I do not know if its so they are thinking, but even if they do not think it the price gives status to the garment. Status is admired in this twisted world. Therefor people will be effected. The adds will have a impact on how the girls in Stockholm are going to dress.

Fashion shows if you are the inn people or not. Thanking God for classic clothes, no need to stay in fashion that way…. and allways be dressed right. Not saying I am not dressing in fashion… I don´t care if I am or not. I just dress as I please. Sometimes it just happens to be in fashion… Sometimes all my clothes are worn out at a certain time and the stores only offer fashion clothes… then it´s fashion… Vintage would be an option if they where available in all sizes, but they never seem to have. I love vintage, beeing both unique and saving the world at the same time. I love it.

Immigrants harrassed in a small town in Sweden

In todays news program Aktuellt at SVT2 they are talking about the Somalies in Sweden that live in a little town. The children are beeing harrassed on their way to school. I do not know what lies behind these harrasments, maybe people don´t like them?

In Expressen.se the politician say that they do not see a obvious rasist motive behind these actions. It´s a gang of people with a history of doing these things. The politician in the Expressen Web-TV says that the children needs to go to school (there is no option to not go to school it´s legislated you MUST go to school) and that they will get escort to school.

I happen to see many Somalies in Rinkeby too. The men are hanging around the square and many are dressed in traditional clothes, similar to Indian mens traditional dresses.

I happen to know, from experience of talking to people, that many seem to have something against the Somailies in special. I have also heard some stories that might give, and maybe might contribute to a certain view of the Somali, who knows? One of these stories was:

I have heard people telling me that the women are pretty young when they marry and they also have a lot of children. One man told me that there was a bus driver that had about 20 children and that the man (the father of the children) didn´t even know the names of his all children.

If that is a true story then it´s pretty bad. If you have too many children, you shouldn´t really get anymore. All children need parents that see them, otherwise they can do what ever they want and that can be doing bad stuff. If the parents are not involvd in the childrens upbringing they are more likely to get bad when they grow up.

I am wondering if there are similair oppinions and stories going on about the Somali in the small town? Maybe there is a misunderstanding or a factor x that we do not know of that is underneath these strange harrasments? Maybe it´s like the politician in Expressen said, that the youth doing the harrassment have a history of misbehavior. Maybe there is no reason for it, maybe the Somali just where a easy target?

I can however sense that there is some anger even amoungst other muslims against the Somali in Rinkeby. I have also heard Swedes talking negative about Somalies. I must be the only one that hasn´t understood why. I know that the ones I see have traditional clothing and so, but many other cultures also have that and they don´t bother others that I know of?

The other day a women was walking down the electric stairs and she almost got caught with her clothing in the stairs without her really knowing. I told her that her dress was about to be caught in the stairs. She listened and lifted it up whilst walking down. A foreigner came up behind me and said: “She don´t care, it´s more important for her to cover her hair. That´s more important for them.” I replayed to the man: “Well, I didn´t want her to kill herself and she did listen.” The women thanked me and gave me a friendly smile. What country she came from is totally unknown to me. But she was wearing similair clothing as the Somali women have, but she could as well have been from another country.

The man that said the comments seemed like he was tired of all covered muslims somehow. I don´t know, since I didn´t ask. But there was some kind of negative feelings showing.

There seems to be hate, or misunderstandings or something going on underneath. I am wondering what it is? I have heard about men at the square bothering women that do not use traditional clothing, I think I read it in a paper actually. Which nationality or culture that was I do not know. Which women I do not know. This event was in maybe 1-2 years ago. Maybe this has been left to grow? Maybe there is some kind of conflict. In Sweden everyone is allowed to dress as they like (not naked though, or too naked (but sometimes I wonder…)) according to the law, within some limits like to much nudeness. Needless to say, then you must be pretty nude.

I think its important to talk about problems, sometimes they all grow from misunderstandings and not talking about them can give a twisted view and make it just worse. Is that what is going on?

Well if some wear to much clothes, then some others wear to little… I was on the subway one day. A women sat down in front of me. I noticed her jeans. They where pretty much holding on to threads… But the real thing I then noticed was that she wasn´t just showing off her legs, she could as well have been wearing shorts, her jeans where that broken. On top of this the women has a see-through nitted sweater. The wholes where about 1cm each. Underneath that orange sweater the women was wearing a beige t-shirt-bra. It was as she was sitting in a bikini in front of me. I tried not to stare… but my head was pretty much occupied with me thinking about having a naked women in underwear in front of me. I was thinking, what was she thinking? I wonder what type of job she has? A hooker? I couldn´t seem to think of other things but her dressing a little to naked on the subway for my taste. I was also thinking what others where thinking. Had they noticed? She was from Russia or some other country in the eastern Europe.

Well, I do not know why the people are harrassing the Somali kids, no kids should be harrased. Nobody should be harrased.

And I believe in talking to people. I try to treat everyone as I would like to be treated (not allways so but at least one can try). Should I have kept quite when the womens dress allmost was caught in the electric stairs? What if she would have got caught and what if she would have fell… then I wouldn´t have liked myself for not saying anything. It´s because of those things I try to say something, I feel better. It´s purley egoistic. I hope to show what type of behavior I like and then I am hoping that others follow. Some might and then I have won at least one person over to my side. Not that it is a competition…

But I hope that when people see the Somali kids beeing harrassed in the small town – that someone that sees says something. Not saying is not making the harrassers understand that others do not think the same. By saying something you make them think a little more. Hopefully they understand your point of view. If not at first — then maybe later?

Well, I am hoping no rasist try to use my hear say and witnessed events are proof of not having immigrants, because that is not my saying. I am saying that a lot of things, usually the unknown, lays behind things like this. Making people talk and mediate hopefully can make people less scared.

Everyone is worth the same, no matter human, animal or nature.

Waist of space

I have been to the mall. I have consumed. Tried to anyway. I stoped by a café and ate some nice ice cream. I just enjoyed spending time on my own, knowing only my partner and animals are at home. Thanks for that. Freetime. No musts on the agenda. In the stores they are having summer sales. They are selling all summer clothes now to half price or even less. For the ones with smaller pockets sale is an option. However finding the right sizes on sale isn´t easy.

Imagine how much clothes that probably isn´t sold… I wonder what they do with that – etanol? Make etanol for renewable energy cars? I havent´t got a clue. Otherwise they might burn them and then we get hot water for the bathrooms and kitchens as well as heating for the houses. That is how waist is handled here in Sweden. The best would be if the stores didn´t have waiste, but that won´t happen until we have a standard in clothing sizes and can order on demand. Clothes that fit allways the same no matter what. There will be some waiste even then, clothes get out of fashion and the body changes and sometimes you regret the purshase.

Well… I wish they would have a better way of handling the to big stocks, so they didn´t need to throw away any clothes. Some comanies give to goodwill. I know some that do that. They end up in second hand stores, even though they are new.
