Since 1972 people who want to change their gender in Sweden has had to be sterilised, according to the article in SVD.se. There are many people who think that their gender is not the same as their bodies. This has been a possibility to correct. However people who have made their gender to the correct one physically and not just mentally have been discriminated in Sweden since 1972. In order to get the gender changed in the last digits and get the opposite gender in the registry the transsexuals have had to be sterilised. By this I actually think that the state has said a transsexual isn’t good enough to produce their genes. I also think there is an underlying problem like who is the “father” or “mother” of the child. If the state didn’t differentiate gender in applications, registers and such this wouldn’t be a problem. A parent would simply just be a parent. And a person would simply just be a person. I actually think that the world should be gender neutral in many ways. I think that anyone should be able to go inside a store and buy which ever dress they like, no matter what design or what gender. This is for me an equal world.
In Japan there is a certain music style where people can dress as they like. A boy can dress female and vice versa. I like this very much. Why shouldn’t just anyone be able to wear the clothes they really like the design of? I think that the world is still in the dark ages when it comes to gender. I think it should be about time that people should toss away gender and concentrate on people instead. Let people be whoever they want to be.
So I congratulate the transsexuals for finally being able to get a new gender without being sterilised and stolen on their future biological children. The next step is to allow surrogate mothership in Sweden. I think it is discrimination of the people who cannot have children that they are not allowed to use surrogate mothers that willingly want to help another family.
The transsexuals of Sweden have gotten a prejudice in court that says it is discrimination to force people to sterilise when making a gender change, according to the article in SVD.se.
