I have been out to a public lake and feed the birds. Me and the family members. We gave food to the birds. I never eat the final pieces of the bread in the freezer. So we gathered all the last small pieces and gave it to the birds.
During the feeding of birds I saw a goose that was injured, but it seem to be able to live fine. It could swim and walk. And people feed the birds, perhaps it gets some food to. However part of its wing was dislocated. I tried to call the city, but no emergency number was available during the holidays, but I found a way to communicate the birds injury, so I did. I hope it gets help. However it was fine in condition, so I have good hopes for the bird.

Well, last time I was out there were a lot of birds that wanted food when we walked pass them. I felt sorry since I didn’t have any food with me at that time. Therefore I took the time today to finally do it. Feed the birds. Not that I am not feeding the birds in my garden. I am feeding them sunflower seeds.
The snow outside is melting since it is warmer weather now. So the white snow has started to look like dirt indeed. Not that lovely as white snow can be. Some kids had built the snow bivouac outdoors. Those can be dangerous for kids that do not understand the danger of playing inside them. The snow can fall down and suffocate the kid inside. I am happy it is melting away. It’s not easy to tell a smaller kid it is dangerous… they have no understanding of the concept dangerous with cause and effect on this level.

We celebrate Lucia in Sweden. And it is honer of a saint named Lucia in Italy. A girl that had really beautiful eyes that where cut out. She was a so called marture. Well. We Swedes celebrate it anyways. Children and adults dress in white clothes, some are “tärnor”, others “stjärngossar” (star boys), “tomtar” (Santas little helpers), “pepparkaks-gubbar” and “pepparkaks-gummor” and one of the girls is a Lucia. Lucia has a crown with candles lighten, a red stripe on her waist. The red stripe symbolizes blood, Lucias sacrifation. Tärnorna has glitter in their hair and glitter around their waist. The pepper cookie man and women are part of the tradition since pepper cookies are typical Swedish food around the holidays surrounding christmas. Well, other Scandinavian countries also celebrate Lucia, but not many other countries do.
My kid will be a “pepper cookie”-person. I have a costume for that. The other day I overheard that it was accused of beeing rasist. I cannot understand why. It is a very common cookie and it is brown and very Swedish. So I see nothing wrong in continuing using this tradition. My spouse thought of it as rasist today. I think it is not, nor do the kindergarden teachers. I am thinking – is it better to have all in Ku-klux-klan clothes? The “Stjärngossar”, “tärnor”, Lucia and so are dressed in white ku-klux-kan-looking clothes. So what is better? Looking like a nice brown Peppar cookie? Or like ku-klux-klan members? I am just saying all attributes are different and there must be a limit to all this nonsens. Not letting children be blessed in church. Not beeing able to have anything with advent in Swedish schools. Sweden is loosing their traditions due to someone starting all these nonsene accusments of rasism. None of the Swedish traditions are rasist, but they are however gender specific. A boy is not usually Lucia, but that can change. Some years ago I read that a boy wanted to be Lucia at kindergarden. They finally let him be that. I think that is awsome. There is no similarities with ku-klux-klan and Lucia. Nor is there any relation to the colour brown of the pepper cookies. Black people are not called “brown” in Sweden, they are called “black”, even though their colour in fact is brown. Well, no matter what colour of skin the children have they can be any of the different characters in the Lucia train. Lucia doesn’t care about origin. I just think it is so sad that there even is a discussion like this.
My kid will be a pepper cookie. The costume was really cheap, so yes I bought it on last christmas sale for almost nothing. And my child likes the dress. Let the kid have it! Embrace it! Let us Swedes keep our traditions, that is what units us. We have something to look forward to. Christmas and Lucia is a time for joy. A time for unity. For all Swedes, old and new.
So stop calling our traditions rasist. Stop stopping our traditions. Let us have them. Without them we loose our national identity. We have many hundreds of year old traditions. Some are ment to be kept. Even in school. So is Lucia.
In the video the “tärnor” are however not wearing glitter. Having red bands (stripes) is also sometimes on the “tärna”, it depends on the “design”. Here the girls also have green leaves in the hair.

Norweigan kids celebrating Lucia, they also have a different type of outfit. They also talk about Allhelgona-weekend in Norway. That we also celebrate in Sweden. After about 2,5 minutes you see the typical outfits that are very common for celebrating Lucia. The “pig” tradition isn’t a Swedish tradition. In Sweden we have a “mandel” in the porage instead.

Vissa sångare har så konstiga låtar. Jag kan förstå en konstig låt som hör samman med en film och kanske till och med är framtagen för en film. Den här låten med Chris Brown heter “Don´t wake me up” och i texten finns texten “if this love only exists in my dreams”, “don´t wake me up”, “unless I am falling for you”.Han sjunger om att drömma och att han inte vill vakna upp, om inte tjejen han drömmer om finns i verkligheten, eller nåväl älskar honom i verkligheten. Samtidigt sjunger han om att han inte alls sovit eller “no time to sleep”, så frågan är ju om han verkligen sover? Kanske sover han inte, utan att han är i en “overklig” verklighet? En som han gärna stannar i? Sedan vill han inte somna in, om han inte somnar in för “you”. Väck mig inte sjunger han ganska många gånger. Sedan kommer elektroder till hans hjärna. Brevid honom ligger en tjej m dito elektroder kopplade till hjärnan. Det är inte den enda framställandet i världen om att “människor” är elektroniskt kopplade till varann. Det finns sci-fi film om sånt, ex the Matrix. Du har säkert hört talas om den filmen. Om du börjar lyssna på ganska många sådana kända låtar så finns det en med liknande innehåll, men dock är texten och musiken en annan, men temat är också att man sover brevid varann, men ändå inte kan röra vid varann.
Till saken hör ju att vi egentligen inte ens vet varför vi existerar och hur vi existerar. Vi vet ju bara det vi ser, känner och hör, smakar osv. Det vi har våra sinnen för, men ändå kan vi ju inte säga hur vi existerar, vi kanske bara är ett litet experiment i en kula? Haha, vi kanske bara är en del av något väldigt gigantiskt. Vi kanske bara inbillar oss att vi är fria, fastän vi bara är “puppets i a game” (marjonetter i ett spel). Hur spelet spelas vet vi inte heller. Och vem som står som vinnare i slutet vet vi inte heller. Livet är ju ett mysterium, men vi kan tolka det mysteriet innanför vårt lilla växthus, dvs jorden. Vi kan förstå cyklerna och anpassa vårt liv till att få livet att bli så bra som möjligt för alla, dvs liv och natur. Jag anser att att vi lever för evigt, i alla fall vår energi. Atomerna omformas dock till något nytt och jag tror inte att vår energi stannar kvar vid våra atomer när vi dör, det finns en signifikant skillnad mellan livet och döden.
Så vad sjunger Chris egentligen om? Är uppvaknandet en insikt i verkliga livet? Är uppvaknandet döden, livet eller vad? Vad är det han egentligen sjunger om? Att han vill leva i en drömvärld där inget är verkligt? Musik är ett uttrycksmedel, precis som det skrivna ordet, precis som stillbilder och rörliga bilder.
Även ett dataspel kan vara ett statement. Du kan påverka andra genom din kreativa förmåga. Du kan vara med och förändra världen, så du inte hellre lever i dina drömmar än lever i verkligheten och förverkligar drömmar istället.
Jag tror det var den här killen som sägs ha misshandlat Rihanna, tyckte de sa det på RixFM i veckan som gått. Jag vet dock inget om det.
In todays DN.se there is an aricle about that Swedish children´s book have few dark children, many of the children are blond and blue eyed. A person is wondering why there are so few titles with dark children in the libraries. She is asking if it´s censor, just like TinTin had at Kulturhuset.
I have tried to find dark skinned Barbie for a while now. There was one in another town that I wanted, however the store didn´t have them after it had been checked. So instead of Barbie I had to buy a brat. There was 2 sorts of dark Barbie in the store I visited, but I didn´t like their looks. I really wanted another beautiful black Barbie. But I couldn´t find any of those that I wanted. It isn´t so that Barbie hasn´t got black Barbies, they do have that. But not for the Swedish market. I think it´s sad, since many girls want Barbies. I want to be able to by a Barbie that looks a like to the child I had in mind. She is not Afrian, but her skin is dark. I have a Barbie that I bought in Asia, but I haven´t given it to her, since that is a Barbie for older children than this one. She first has to get older. Then maybe she can have the Barbie that looks like her native people. I just wish I could buy those foregin looking Barbies in Sweden too. But I cannot. I have tried to find it, but it has been difficult to find. Harder than I thought. So she has to have a black Bratz doll instead. Bratz had a lot of black dolls actually. I am wondering why Bratz has a lot and Barbie collections in the stores has very few black representatives?
